Video is quickly becoming the MUST DO tool for businesses. Video usage climbs EACH and EVERY month online. The stats I looked at were just in the US but the number of views and hours spent streaming video were astounding (on Nielson Wire). YouTube is still the number #1 destination for video viewers but there are a lot of other online video sites that are catching up.
The point is, video has people’s attention. And if you want people’s attention (and trust me, if you are running a business, you do! And if you don’t believe me check out Shae’s post on 7 reasons to use video in your business.), then you’re going to have to get comfy with being a video Diva or video Divo.
The good news is that video does NOT mean you have to get all glammed up to be in front of the camera. Susan already walked you through her thoughts on video and your body image to help you get over that thought.
Today, I want to show you just how SIMPLE it is to get rolling with video now and just how little you need to get going. You just need a few basic tools and then you are ready for ACTION! And, to prove that you merely need to be yourself and that you don’t need to be glammed up to shoot an effective video, I shot one of the video totally without any makeup. Actually I didn’t even brush my hair.
Good video is not about looking like Eva Longoria – although that would not be a bad thing! It’s also not about having the best video equipment. Simple is ok! A good video is about having enthusiasm, a clear and concise message and about letting your own personality shine through.
Take a look at the 5 basic tools you need to get started using video for your business and PLEASE let me know the other tools, resources or software you use for video!! There are so many to pick from and I know you’ll have some cool ones to share!!
